Newcomer RHP Kameron Loe gets the opening-day nod for the Sounds

April 8, 2010

Kameron Loe

The Nashville Sounds begin their 33rd season of baseball tonight on the road against the Iowa Cubs.  RHP Kameron Loe, a newcomer from the Texas organization via Japan (last year) will be the starting pitcher for Nashville.

Kameron stands a commanding 6’8″ tall. Let’s hope he performs better than he did in a couple leagues in Japan in 2009.

The Sounds’ game notes for Loe states:

Veteran right-hander Kameron Loe will serve as the Sounds’ Opening Day starter tonight against Iowa. He spent the 2009 campaign playing in Japan after logging seven years in the Texas Rangers organization, including stints in  the big leagues in each of five straight years from 2004-08. The 6-foot-8 hurler carries a 3.64 career ERA in 120 minor league contests and appeared in the PCL with Oklahoma during the 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2008 seasons.

Loe has an overall minor league record of 19-23 in five seasons – all with Texas affiliates –  with a lifetime .477 ERA.
