J.J. Hardy struggling at Nashville but swinging the bat well

August 17, 2009

J.J. Hardy has only played in three games for the Nashville Sounds since being sent down from Milwaukee last week and his (1-for-9) .111 batting average belies what fans are seeing when he has swung the bat in a Sound’s uniform so far; he is making good contact and is actually hitting the ball well. In his ten plate appearances so far he has one walk, zero strike-outs, and nine ABs. His sole hit, so far, was a two-run shot Saturday.

He just needs a little luck really. When the balls start falling his confidence will raise faster than his batting average.  He has a good attitude.

J.J. Hardy is not getting many breaks at the plate in Nashville right now.
