Lefty Chris Narveson was 1-1 with a 4.55 ERA (14er/29.2ip) going into tonight’s game vs the Grizzlies.  Narveson is holding PCL opponents to a .208 average and has posted 65 strikeouts in 69 2/3 Triple-A innings. The 9-1 win gives the Sounds their 65th win of the season and runs their home record to 36-25. Nashville is back in first-place in the American North division in the PCL as the Memphis Redbirds fell tonight against the River Cats.

is now statistically tied with Memphis for the lead in the American North.

Nashville had no problem plating batters tonight, scoring nine runs on eleven hits.  Newly called-up Adam Stern swung a hot bat for the second game in a row, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Stern is 7-for-10 in his first two Triple-A Sound’s games.

Corey Patterson went 3-for-4 tonight with two RBIs. His bat is also hot, batting .415 (17-for-41) since being called up to Nashville several games ago.

Recently-demoted J.J. Hardy went 1-for-4 tonight, but hit his first home run for Nashville, in just his second game at the Triple-A level this season. Hardy is 1-for-5 in his first two games in the Sound’s uniform since being demoted by the Brewers a couple games ago.

Gamel and Katin were both 2-for-4 tonight.

What an great game that was Kraig….!! Outstanding pitching from Chris (shoot, we had our Sliders by the 5th) and all around great support from the team. On the Brewers web site a few are bashing JJ Hardy for going only 1-4.. but those of us that were at the game saw a homerun, a timely walk and several outstanding plays in the field.
