Catcher Carlos Corporan returns to Sound’s roster
The Nashville Sounds announced today that catcher Carlos Corporan has rejoined the Sound’s roster from Brevard County, where he had been since June 22nd.
Corporan returns as a catcher on the roster. The regular starting catcher this year has been Angel Salome, who has played in 66 games – 54 of them starting at catcher.
Corporan has played in 13 games at Brevard County this year where he batted .267. He has played 29 games with Nashville so far in 2009 but has only batted .200.
The 25 year old has a .247 lifetime batting average over seven seasons in the minors.
