Chad Huffman wins the Triple A All-Star Home Run Derby

July 13, 2009

Nashville Sound’s slugger Brendan Katin (below, third from left) participated in the Triple A All-Star Home Run Derby in Portland, Oregon, tonight.

As best I could determine by midnight Tuesday, Katin did not make it out of the first round in which he slugged three homers.

The Oregonian reports:

Portland Beavers outfielder Chad Huffman hit five home runs in the final round to defeat Scranton/Wilkes-Barre outfielder Shelley Duncan, who hit one home run in the final round.
