Nashville’s Adam Heether breaks into ‘top ten’ in PCL batting leaders

July 12, 2009

Nashville Sound’s infielder Adam Heether has broken into the top ten for hitting in the PCL now, as he has enough qualified ABs per game.  The 6-foot, 195-pound RHB from California is 27 years old and is completing his 7th professional season within the Brewer’s organization. He will be a free-agent after 2009.

Heether’s numbers so far are impressive:  .317 BA (leads team), 202 ABs, 15 doubles, 10 HRs (3rd on team), a .426 OBP (1st on team), a . 550 SLG (2nd behind Katin), and an impressive .975 OPS (1st on team).

These kind of numbers will have Adam in the running for MVP of the year for the Nashville Sounds if his performance continues along the current path.

Does anyone still recall the infielder he replaced earlier this year?  Oh yeah, Mat Gamel.
