Jason Borgeois (Nashville Sounds) named PCL PLayer of the Week

Nashville’s hot-streaking play owes a lot right now to Jason Bourgeois and the Pacific Coast League is watching. He has been named the PCL Player of the Week for the period of June 8-14th.  In that period of the 5’9″ outfielder was a blazing .520 (13 for 25) with two doubles, five RBIs, scored six runs, and stole five bases in five games.

So far the 27-year-old Houstonian is hitting at a .322 clip with 8 doubles, 3 triples and one homer, 24 RBIs, 32 runs scored, and 17 stolen base sin 56 games so far for Nashville.

Sounds starting pitcher Lindsay Gulin was named the Pacific Coast League’s Pitcher of the Week last week (June 1-7 period).
