Mike Burns took the loss tonight.

The Sounds dug themselves in a hole early and often, looking at a 5-0 deficit in the top of the sixth. That’s just too many runs to try and come from behind in thie PCL after five innings.

Adam Moore’s 2-run homer (1) – off Nashville’s Mike Burns – in the second inning sparked the Rainers to an early 2-0 lead. Moore’s RBI-single in the 4th scored another teammate to make it 4-0 Rainers.

Down 5-0 in the top of the sixth, Nashville found a little life. Three successive singles plated Nashville’s first run. Katin’s sac-fly scoring Escobar yielded the second run making it 5-2.

A Koshansky RBI-single in the 8th plated the last runner for the Sounds and the final score was 5-3.
