Nashville’s Dillard goes for league-leading 6th win tonight

Tim Dillard (5-1, 2.31) has been terrific in 2009 for the Nashville Sounds.  The right-hander takes the mound tonight against RHP Tony Barnette (2-2, 5.91) in the final game of the four-game series between the Sounds and the Aces.

If Dillard wins tonight his six wins would lead the PCL in victories. Fellow-Sounds’ starter Mike Burns also has five wins.

Here’s a summary of Dillard’s appearances in 2009 to date.

Nashville topples I-Cubs again, 8-6
Result: won (5-0) – good outing

Nashville shut-out by O-Royals, 3-0
Result: lost (5-1) – solid outing

Dillard won the MVP of April according to At the Old Ball Game.
