Sound's Manager - Don Money

The Nashville Sounds (17-15) just completed a nine-game road series in which they went 5-4. Six of the nine games were decided by two runs or less.

Who’s hot and who’s not as the Sounds take the field tonight against the Reno Aces (13-18)? All stats are based on what they did on the recent road series.

Who’s Hot?

  • Erick Almonte (6-18, 4 runs, 2 RBI, 3 2B)
  • Jason Bourgeois (5-11, 2 RBIs)
  • Tony Gwynn (9-21, 2 RBIs, 2 2B, 4 runs)
  • Joe Koshansky (4-16, 4 RBIs)

Who’s Not?

  • Mat Gamel (5-18, 2 RBIs)
  • Cole Gillespie (1-16, 7 SOs)

What to watch for?

  • Will Cole Gillespie continue to get playing time even though he is swinging the worst bat of the entire team?
  • Will the Sounds produce runs for starters Lindsay Gulin and Chase Wright?
  • Will Joe Koshansky continue his hot bat at home?
  • Will Mat Gamel’s bat come alive again?
  • Will Mike Rivera have an impact for the Sounds while on rehab?
  • Will Jason Bourgeois continue to hit well?
  • Will the Sounds play solid defensive ball, committing few errors?
  • Will starters Dillard and Burns continue their domination?
  • Will Brendan Katin get more playing time and perform?
