Joe Koshansky is Iowa-Nashville series MVP

May 7, 2009

Two Nashville-bats were hot in the recent Iowa series, which the Sounds won 3 of 4. Joe Koshansky and Tony Gwynn provided strong offense during the contests.

I have awarded Joe Koshansky with the series-MVP award. He went 5 for 15, scored 5 runs, hit a double, three home runs, and knocked in 7 RBIs. Though Koshansky is still struggling for average for the year (still under .200), his performance in Iowas was timely and earned him the clean-up spot in the line-up tonight, replacing the totally ineffectual Brendan Katin.

Tony Gwynn certainly gets honorable-mention for series-MVP. He went 5 for 15, scoring five runs, one double and two RBIs, including Thursday’s eventual game-winning RBI.

Sounds Baseball by you.
