Hitting from Salome and Patterson keeping Sounds competitive
The Sounds are no doubt struggling of late, with a 7-8 record in the past 15 games, but things would be much worse if not for the recently hot hitting from the likes of Angel Salome and Corey Patterson.
Salome is enjoying a five-game hitting streak where he has gone 11-19, raising his season average to a respectable .289. He went 3-for-4 yesterday in the 11-4 victory over the Bees. Salome is batting .306 since May 1st.
Patterson is simply on fire. The CF went 3-for-4 yesterday too, with five RBIs, with two home runs. In just six games so far with Nashville, Patterson is batting .458. Corey is also enjoying a current five-game htting streak, going 11-24.
